Traditional Healing & Cultural Teachings
We work with Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and cultural practitioners to offer teachings, ceremonies, and land‑based healing. These practices honour our languages, our medicines, and the ways our ancestors cared for themselves and each other.
Traditional Healing, Medicines, and Teachings Are at the Heart of Our Wellness
We honour the understanding that healing is wholistic — caring for the spirit, mind, body, and heart together. Traditional medicines, ceremonies, and cultural practices are not “add‑ons” to care; they are central to how many of our people find balance, strength, and connection.
Depending on the practice, this may include storytelling, land‑based teachings, smudging, drumming, singing, or one‑on‑one spiritual support.
Traditional healing may also include recommendations for ceremonies, medicines, or practices that support your wellness journey. Every person’s path is different, and our role is to help you access the cultural supports that feel right for you.
NOTE: Each Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and cultural practitioners have their own protocols, teachings, and ways of working. Offering a small gift, tobacco, cloth, or following specific protocols such as wearing a skirt or honouring moontime teachings, may apply to certain ceremonies or events. These offerings are part of the relationship between you, the healer, and the spirit of the work being done.
